About The St. Andrew's Scholarship

The St. Andrew’s Society of SW Florida, Inc. has partnered with Florida Gulf Coast University to establish a scholarship for FGCU students to study in Scotland.

The members of the St. Andrew’s Society established this scholarship to expose a young person to life in Scotland and to learn about its history and culture.

Basic criteria for applying include:
  • Recipients will be US citizens, permanent residents (Green Card Holders), undergraduate students.
  • Preference will be given to students who are residents of Collier County or Lee County, Florida;
  • Recipients must currently have and maintain a minimum 2.8 GPA;
  • Recipients must demonstrate community service as required by FGCU. Student involvement in leadership, campus or community activities is beneficial.
  • Recipients must already either be admitted, or applying, through FGCU International Services Office to a study abroad program in a school in Scotland before applying for this scholarship.
